Krista Fortier is a lawyer with Fortier Law Firm where she practices with her father and brother. Krista Fortier attended Wilfred Laurier University in the Business Administration Program and thereafter the University of Windsor where she obtained her LL.B.
Krista was called to the Bar in 1999 and has been practicing primarily in the area of Family Law although she also practices Real Estate, Mortgage Enforcement, Wills and Estates and does some prosecution work. Krista is a Children’s Lawyer through the Office of the Children’s Lawyer as well as a panel lawyer for the Family Responsibility Office and Ministry of Community and Social Services. Krista is a certified Family Mediator as well as Child Protection Mediator.
She also practices collaborative law and is a member of the Sudbury Collaborative Law Group.
Krista does some prosecution work for the Ministry of Transportation as well as the Ministry of Natural Resources and she is on the Legal Aid Area Committee as well as a board member for the Food Bank.
